A good day...

This has been a good day...I met one of my goals in life. I have always tried to learn something new every day, and today I learned how to create a blog. I also learned how to build a cement pad for a patio. I had to use my brain for both...and it actually worked! I know for many people, these would be "no-brainers"...I am not a trained builder (and neither is my husband!), nor am I used to some of the wonderful things that are available on the web. I'll be honest...I studied computer programming in college (and got decent grades, too!). I missed having to hard-wire circuit boards by a few semesters...hard drives with memory measured in bytes (way less than the 64 MB RAM dinosaur I'm using today) were the size of washing machines. Floppy disks were just starting to appear...and they were nine inch monsters. I don't think I ever would have imagined being able to do something like this blog back in 1978...I was too busy trying to tell a computer how to create a payroll program using a language called COBOL!

Days of old gone by,

seems like years were only yesterday

must be getting old myself...

though it seems like it only happens to others!
