Blithering...

I saw something yesterday that was amazing...as I was driving down a road, I noticed that there were several large birds in the field by the road. There was a cattle egret, a large egret and a blue heron. As I watched, the blue heron stabbed his beak into the ground...and came up with a gopher! Wow! If only I could have been parked with a camera.

A dust storm blew through earlier. Dropped visibility down to a city block or so. Lot's of wrecks on the highways around here. People don't want to slow down even when they can't see...and the ones that do slow down get hit! Between that and the limbs down on the road, Highway 99 was pretty much blocked, I guess.

The town Christmas tree is getting lit tonight. I'm going to go...unless it's too cold! Told my husband I would meet him down there. He is helping escort Santa.
