What a week!

What a week! Work was crazy...what with having to move out of the desk and area surrounding it and having complete workstations installed. No phones and no computers. People snapping at each other...and then we didn't get the type of filing drawers that were requested. And trying to get a lot of work done in order to go on vacation. AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGHHHHH!!!

We will be going camping this Sunday for about 6 days. I don't want to be in the mountains on the 4th when some idiot decides to have a fireworks show in the forest. The place where we go is isolated, for the most part. During the week there is hardly anyone there other than us, but on the weekend the place fills up. It is a beautiful place, though. I hope we get to stay in the one river site that is pretty big and has lots of room for the tent. My second choice is up from the river, but has a trail that goes about 25 feet through the woods to the river. It would be great to take the telescope with us, but I'm afraid it would get broken since I never got a padded case made for it.

One good thing happened this week...I had lunch with an old friend. Found out some of the things he has been through and is still alive. I am happy that we have met up again. I am so glad that he had someone to love him and care for him enough to stick with him during the bad times. He is a great person and I hope he continues to do well.

Guess I will get going. Gotta go to work in the morning even though it is normally a day off for me. I don't feel right going off with work undone. Have to remember to charge up batteries for the camcorder and digital camera. Also need to buy batteries for the regular cameras. Have plenty of film. So much to do and so little time!

Old Friend

I ran into an old friend today. It was so good to see him. You never know who you will run into at Wal-Mart! He looks older...of course I'm not! Seeing Victor reminded me that I need to stay in touch with some of my friends from way back. It's not like they are going to be here forever, neither will I. Once you start getting close to 50, it seems like you see too many names in the obits that are close to your age. I'm not ready yet...I have told the buzzards in the neighborhood that they are not welcome to circle me when I am out in the yard!
