Thanksgiving

There is a lot to be thankful for this year. I am thankful for the sight that I have...and the glasses I complain about. I am thankful for the home that I have, even if I need to clean it. I am thankful for the food that I have to eat...even if I eat too much. I am thankful for the friends that I have, as well as my family. I am thankful that I have a great spouse, though I don't always appreciate him enough. I am thankful for the love of 3 great dogs...even if one isn't ours. There is a lot to be thankful for. Too much to write in just a few minutes.

Withdrawl

I will be going through Nascar withdrawl for the next 3 months! Today was the last race of the season. I had hopes for someone else to be champion, but the team that had the most consistent races are the ones who won. My favorite driver didn't have a good car today...or something. Oh, well. The only problem with next year is that stupid Car of Tomorrow. At least the Dodge drivers will have a better chance...the cars in the COT races will all be bricks.

It seems so weird. The car designers came out with nice, swoopy aerodynamic cars...then someone decided to square everything up to the point that some cars look like they were designed using Lego's. Makes me wonder what the cars in the future will look like.

I can't believe that the weekend is over already. I guess it makes a difference when you don't feel good. I have slept a lot of the weekend away. At least it's only three days of work this week. Then a day of cooking.

I need to get my brain together and create my Christmas card for this year and get it printed. I have an idea, but I'm not finding something that I need to have in the picture. I need to check out some places for a toy mouse. Or I need a different idea!

Guess that's it for today. Can't think of much more to write.

Some thoughts

Now...I will ramble. Just a bunch of thoughts tonight.

Would gravity exist if Sir Isaac Newton hadn't been curious about the apple falling? Is global warming really something new...or is it the end of the last ice age? Which really did come first, the chicken or the egg? Or was it the rooster? Was there ever a person named Peter Piper? And did he pick peppers? How did the cave artists depict fall colors? Are the cave paintings a history or art? Will the "Big One" fracture the San Andreas from Parkfield to Fort Tejon again, or will it continue on south? Or will it come from a different fault? Whose fault will it be? Will Nascar change the chase format...or drop it all together? Why is NHRA changing their format when they have to wait until the last day of the last race of the year...or the last round of the last race to get a champion? Why do women want to look like Barbie? Do men want to look like the original GI Joe (the one that was anatomically correct)? I guess I'm in a questioning mood tonight. Nothing new...according to my baby book my first word wasn't mama, dada, baba...I pointed at one of my cousins and asked "What's that?" I'm sure it didn't come out that clear, but ever since, I have been asking questions!

?????

I never seem to keep up with my blog! I didn't think it had been so long. Guess I must have a boring life, huh? Actually, I don't think it's boring. I just have too many interests to remember my blog all the time!

I entered several photos in our local fair. Got a couple of ribbons...thought I would do better than I did though. I have had several people say that they couldn't understand why several of the winning pictures were chosen...and that includes pictures in categories where I didn't enter.

I have been trying to develop a website to show some of my pictutes. I want to show them, but not have them copied without my name on them! Will manage it somehow.

That's all for tonight. Maybe I will post again in a few months!
