Vacation time!

Two weeks off work! Though I love my job, I am so happy to be on vacation. Going to the mountains for a few days. Nice and quiet...and cool. It's supposed to be 110 today. I don't know if it made it--I haven't gone outside!

I wonder if there will be a ladybug hatch and migration while we are up there this year. Last year was amazing. I have never seen so many ladybugs! It was like a cloud flying through. Got some interesting pictures, too.

Guess that's it for today...my boring life, as usual! Actually, it's not boring...to me, anyhow!

The weekend is over???

I can't believe that the weekend is over already! What on earth happens to the time? Could it have anything to do with me sleeping so much? I guess I needed to sleep--I slept Friday morning and part of the afternoon after I got home from the dentist. I slept a lot on Saturday, too. Today? After the race was over, I went to sleep again!

The last few races have been rough for me. My favorite driver keeps getting into wrecks! Next week's road course at Sonoma will be the turnaround, I hope!

One more week of work and then vacation time!!! Upper Peppermint, here we come! Have a lot of stuff to do to get ready. Need to make sure the sleeping bags are clean, that the tent is all in one piece and go grocery shopping. Saw something interesting on Costco.com today...an instant heat water heater by Coleman. Kind of expensive, but it would be good! A lot faster than the solar showers that we use now! Not that there is anything wrong with a solar shower...unless it's too cloudy or too sunny and you forget to check the bag often!

Of course, if my sweetie gets called out on a strike team, the vacation could get cancelled. I don't know if I will cancel my vacation and go back to work, or take the time anyhow. I have plenty of time to take, but it would make it easier to go back and try again another month. I do have plans here at the house after we are done camping. Want to clean really good and paint. I hope that I would get to get a lot done!

I know, I know...this is a boring blog. Sorry about that. It's my life...and I don't find it boring!

It's the weekend!

I am so glad that the weekend is here! Time to rest and get some stuff done at home. Won't be getting as much done at home as I would like...have a lot of things to do this weekend. Tommorow is a ceremony and party for a friend's daughters 15th birthday.

Another friend had a baby this week. Small, but healthy!

My truck had to go to the car doctor again. Poor baby truck...he's getting old and having to have things replaced. Hopefully the check engine light stays off for a while now!

On the news they are talking about the "Keyboard Cooties"! About the germs that are found in shared keyboards. Interesting.

I would like to go somewhere this weekend, but not by myself. My husband has to do training all weekend for the fire department. One of the bigger dams in the area is going to have water spill over the top. I have never seen it...it usually happens during the week when I am at work and can't go.

I have some great pictures for the fair. Time to start getting the mounting boards purchased and cut so I can start mounting the pictures now instead of the last minute like I usually do!
